What the Job Entails
CNC Millers are required for our client in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Successful candidates will be
Manufacturing components to engineering drawings and standard operating procedures. Setting and operating both horizontal and vertical cnc mills with Fanuc & Yasnac controls. Working to production schedules.
• Setting, running & inspecting machined components.
• Re-setting machines for colleagues when required.
• In cycle and final de-burring prior to passing on to the next stage of production.
• Minor maintenance, cleaning machine and own area at end of your shift
• Meeting production targets and assisting with the production of various parts when required.
Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, COSHH and general good practice with housekeeping including company quality standards.
Actively involved in Lean & 5s activities
All employees shall comply with EH&S Policy, report unsafe practices or conditions to supervision for prompt resolution, attend scheduled EH&S training programs, actively support the meeting of EH&S targets and plans, and recommend improved EH&S practices wherever possible.
Utilise every opportunity to improve margins through process improvement.
Ability to undertake other appropriate assigned duties.
What the Company Offer
Full time permanent position with exciting and ambitious automotive engineering company
£17-£19 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 14:00pm-12:30am
Holiday incentivised hours during June-October. –This is where we encourage employees to take time off during this period by increasing the amount of holiday time they have.
For example if an employee wanted to take 8hours holiday it would only work out at 7.23 hours, meaning they had more of their allowance left.
About the Candidate
Essential - An indentured apprenticeship or a minimum of 5 years’ experience at setter level.
Desirable - Aerospace or Motorsport experience
Previous experience working with Fanuc & Yasnac controlled horizontal & vertical cnc mills.
Excellent understanding of cutting tools, hand tools and ancillary components.
Ability to read / interpret complex engineering drawings.
Demonstrable Lean implementation experience
Experience with ISO9001 / AS9100 quality requirements
Good Team Player but able to work independently
Flexible approach to working & shift patterns
Accurate numeracy skills and attention to detail. .

Team now supply skilled technicians to the UK and the EU. We also supply matrixed in-house training schools to maximise additional labour efficiency. Supply is mainly to the aerospace and automotive industries.
We supply skilled personnel to the rail industry trackside and on-site. In addition, we are teamed with training schools in order to provide a stream of trainee engineers to the industry.
We provide a full complement of hands-on and technical engineers.
